Praveen Varma

• For over three decades, I’ve been digging into the nature of time, meaning, and human frameworks — not as an abstract pastime, but as a way of stress-testing how we actually live, choose, and believe. My work stretches from philosophy to speculative fiction, from historical grit to children’s stories, from sharp essays on conviction and coherence to frameworks for navigating culture, politics, and identity in the 21st century and beyond.

• I write, build, and provoke. Sometimes that means sketching out future worlds like World 2150 or scenario-mapping Palestine at the UN. Sometimes it means peeling back illusions in a raw novel set in 1920s Lahore. Sometimes it’s mystical realism narrated by the dead, or a Morkie named Archie turning into a hero of his own rescue ranch. The form shifts. The throughline doesn’t: clarity, risk, and refusing to sugar-coat reality.

• I design frameworks — the Circle of Life, the Tetrahedron of Life Seeking, scenario labs on Islamophobia and beyond — because abstractions should do work, not just sit on the page. I test ideas against extremes. I build models that bend but don’t break. 

• I’m also a writer and thinker who believes life’s deepest lessons come from reflecting on our experiences — the triumphs, struggles, and quiet moments in between. My work explores how we grow through challenges, find balance, and build lives of meaning. I’m fascinated by the invisible forces that shape us, like the “soul taxes” we pay — those emotional, mental, and spiritual costs that life demands — and how we can navigate them with conviction and coherence.

• Through my writing, I aim to unpack these ideas with honesty and clarity, whether I’m diving into the tension between staying true to our beliefs and finding inner harmony or sharing insights from life’s everyday moments. I find inspiration in the simple things: a good book, a walk that sparks a new idea, or a meal crafted with care. These are the threads that weave together my reflections on growth, resilience, and purpose.

• My goal is to create a space where we can explore what it means to live intentionally, learn from life’s complexities, and move toward a more coherent version of ourselves. Whether you’re here to reflect on your own journey or seeking ideas to spark growth, I’m glad you’re here — let’s dive into the messy, beautiful process of becoming.

I deep care about our environment. While others may dream of going to faraway planets, I dream of making our planet more livable for all of us. Our beautiful planet belongs to all - people, flora, and fauna - whether it is land, air or water. 

I love interacting with people, especially young people, for they are our future.  Their aspirations, dreams, daring, and energy are an inspiration for me.
